5 reasons for playing backgammon online...

Old and new combination
Backgammon game is old almost as the universe is, while internet and online gaming is one of the great aspects of modern life and I love it!!! I like the idea of reviving the old game using the 21st century tools...

Available partners everywhere, anytime
Finding a game partner online is one of the easiest things when it comes to online backgammon. You don't need to beg no-one (not your mother, your sister, your neighbour - NO ONE!). All you have to do is get into the game platform, find your opponent and start playing. Play65 backgammon platform, for example, comes in 17 different languages so anyone from all over the world can play on it. and this leads me to another reason...

Meeting new people from all around the world
Playing backgammon online gives you the opportunity to meet new people from all around the world. Sure, you can play the game against the computer, but why should you? Playing against real people is much more fun! and if there's a chat module (as Play65's backgammon software has) you can chat with the ones you play against, and by that to get to know them...

Earning some extra cash
Online backgammon can be played for fun but also for money. Real money. This one means that while playing the game you love, you can not only enjoy your time, but also get some money out of it. This is true especially for good backgammon players, but not only. Moderate players can earn some money too, especially in backgammon tournaments where are several winners and not only one.

Practicing your backgammon skills
Online backgammon is great for new players who want to learn the game and sharpen their gaming skills. By playing online you can get to play against others from all levels. This is a great way to test your backgammon skills and improve them.

Do you have other reasons?
I'll be more than glad to hear them...

2 Backgammon Tips

These are my two backgammon tips for you:
First -
If you are slow during a backgammon competition, don't abandon a strategic supporting point. It would be smarter to wait for a suitable throw, and it might even (hopefully not) be your only chance to win.
Second -
If you're having problems deciding what move to play - don't think and hit! A hit is a good choice in many cases, especially if you hit into your opponent’s most vulnerable point - at his home.

Hope you'll find these two backgammon tips usefull.
I think about making this a routine.

And what do you think?
